KST

Artist and urban architect born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1990, Andrés de la Bastida, better known as KST, has connected since childhood with drawing and painting, developing a deep artistic sensitivity. Inspired by the vibrant Quito graphic scene, he began his career as a muralist in 2015, transforming the walls of his hometown into living canvases.

Graduated in 2016 as an urban architect from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of the University of the Americas (UDLA), he integrates his passion for art with solid knowledge in graphic design and illustration. KST uses muralism as a key urban tool to intervene and revitalize public spaces, exploring how art can improve the city’s image and promote local culture.

Currently based in Barcelona, his work invites reflection and celebrates the connection between the earthly and the subtle. Through abstract forms and architectural compositions, KST explores everyday life and its reality, creating pieces that transcend the visual to dialogue with the environment and its inhabitants.
