Droste delacroix
Adrián de la Cruz, aka Droste Delacroix is a digital illustrator, 2D animator and storyboarder from Santander. He studied Fine Arts in Salamanca, Ottawa and Milan and specialized in digital art. He started moving in the circuit of illustration fairs and art exhibitions in Madrid, Santander and Barcelona. He has worked in the music industry and in advertising, creating covers, posters and storyboards. In 2020 he founded with his associate Nacho Ezquerra, the animation brand KeChaval to produce animation videos. He currently lives in Madrid and combines commissions from external clients with his personal artistic projects.
Droste is interested in scenes, narratives condensed in an instant, anatomy, the action of his characters, composition games and scales to stir the viewer’s curiosity. His main sources of inspiration are Borges, Charlie Kaufman, Miguel Noguera and Marc Antoine Mathieu, among others.
