Luciana Zamarbide

Luciana Zamarbide was born in Buenos Aires in 1986. At a very early age, she discovered a passion for painting that would accompany her throughout her life. At the age of 25, he decided to join a painting workshop in his hometown. It is there, where he learned the technique and fundamentals of painting from what would be his teacher, the painter Nicolás Guardiola. Another facet of the artist is tattooing. In these works, a great influence of painting can be seen due to its imaginative and free character. Painting for Luciana is a cathartic process in which she puts her demons online, projects them and makes peace with them. “If I don’t paint I would go crazy.”

Luciana’s painting shows a very personal style that oscillates between figurative and surrealism. Likewise, he draws on the influences of artists such as Magritte, Lucian Freud and Francis Bacon. Another of his main sources of inspiration is found in cinema, his favorite directors, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick and Jim Jarmusch. The artist has had various individual and group exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Jaén and Barcelona.
